Bio

Laura Esti Miller is the Literary Manager for Forum Theatre and a freelance dramaturg. She recently returned to the DC area from New York City, where she served as the Creative Development Director for Electric Pear Productions. Since 1998, she has worked in the nonprofit arts community as a dramaturg, literary director, educator, writer, producer, and singer. She served as the dramaturg and research assistant for numerous productions in New York and Washington D.C., including The Public Theater's 2007 production of Romeo and Juliet. Laura has had the honor of working with Inkwell Theatre, The Kennedy Center, Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, Doorway Arts Ensemble, The Firm, The Princess Grace Awards, Drama Dept, g14 productions, Premiere Stages, Chesapeake Shakespeare Company, Prospect Theater, visual artists Sherrard Bostwick and Juliana Cope, and collaborating musically with the groups The Casual Occupation and The Working Effective. She holds an MFA in Dramaturgy and Dramatic Criticism from CUNY-Brooklyn College and a BA in Theater and Dance from James Madison University.
